The Slideshow Utility

 
1. The function of utility: the utility allows users to insert the slideshow (photo slideshow) into the article content. The utility supports the articles to be more vivid and interesting.

2. The operation of utility: After successfully installing the utility into the website, at the “Insert” tool will automatically add a new item: “insert slideshow”.

3.      The installing process:

Step 1:  Login to the admin page.

Add the phrase “/siteadmin” after the address of VNVN CMS 3.0 news website to login to the admin

Step 2: Login to the Overview page.

Enter your username ==> Enter your registered password ==> “Login”.

 Step 3: Install the utility to the website.

Select “Setup” ==> “Utility” ==> “All” ==> “Plug-in for Slideshow (postings) – 1.0.0” utility ==> “Free” ==> “Install” ==> “Agree”.

Step 4: The utility Guide.

To insert the slideshow into the website content when creating the article, you select “Insert” button on the toolbar ==> “Insert slideshow”.

==> The “Manage images albums” will display.

1: Setup the gallery type.

There are five Gallery types:

List Gallery

All photos will be displayed as miniature images, when you click on each image, it will be enlarged.

Inline Gallery.

Images will be showed one by one, after a period of time, the image will automatically switch to others.

 Album Gallery.

Images will automatically switch. At the same time, the Gallery images will display as miniature images at the right of slideshow box.

Album Gallery (with title).

Images will display as Album Gallery, at the list of images column will show the name of each image in the Gallery.

Audio Gallery.

This type allows to create the list of audio in the article.

2: auto-playing when the page is completely loaded. If you do not check this box, images can only switch when users click “Play” button.

3: The dimensions of slideshow box.

The dimensions demand of slideshow box is valid only when you choose “List Gallery” type.

4: Alignment.

This setting adjusts the box containing the list of images and page margins in the article.

5: The distance around the slideshow box with the other parts of article content.

6: The list of slideshow image will be showed here.

7: The button to upload slideshow images.

There are two methods to add more images into the slideshow:

Method 1: Select “Browse” to take images from “Resource” ==> at “Resource” box, we select one or more images to add to slideshow.

 Images will display at “Slideshow image list” box (6). To edit or add more information to images, click to images in the box (6) directly, an orange contour will cover the image and the below box will display the image information.

To change the positions of Gallery images, keep the image by the left mouse button and drag the image to the other proper location.

To remove the image to slideshow, we click to this image and select “X” on each image.

Method 2: Upload images manually to Gallery by clicking “Add” button.

==> An “empty” image will be added to the list ==> click to this image item ==> the information of slideshow image URL will appear below, you only need to paste the image URL into “Slideshow Thumbnail” and “Slideshow Image URL” positions to replace image (you can add the title or description of image).

After inserting the URL, the image will display at the “Slideshow image list” (6) box, select “Insert” button to complete.

Slideshow was inserted into the article ==> “Save” to complete creating slideshow for the article.

Slideshow successfully display at the website layout.
